Colin Guilfoyle

Managing Director

Entrepreneur who’s coded since 8 years old and for some reason best known to himself qualified as a CIMA accountant in 2009. Founded Nebula in 2014 and quickly found that games were his passion when it came to code. A big believer in giving back Colin has spoken about giving through gaming, volunteered Nebula and himself for various good causes and does what he can to get young (and old) into games and computers. These days Colin doesn’t get to code as much but with the introduction of our robotics gaming projects has gotten to combine his 2 geek loves of computers and robots!

If he’s not in the office or working Colin will likely be sitting in a cafe or making something either with a 3D printer, Lego or whatever he has to hand, that or he’ll be chasing Pokémon with his wife around Dublin.

Aoife Rafferty

Office Manager

With a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Innovation & Technology, Aoife has always had a keen interest in the Irish start-up scene and participated in the UStart Student Accelerator program run by the Ryan Academy in conjunction with Dublin City University. Joining the Nebula team as Office Manager in February 2018, she brings years of experience in contractor management, recruitment and project coordination. Here at Nebula, she wears many hats (as do we all!) and works on all things social media, events, project management and most importantly, the day-to-day running of our studio.

When she’s not working, you can find her in the front row watching live music, walking her dog, spending time with family and friends or at the gym. All of the aforementioned activities are usually accompanied by pizza.

Heather Spratt

Lead Designer

Heather has always been passionate about art, and with her interest in video-games, she pursued a career in the creative industry by studying Communications in Creative Multimedia in Dundalk IT. Throughout her degree, Heather mentored at CoderDojo, and gained experience as a game designer in Newzmonkeys. After receiving a First Class Honours, and awarded with a Masters research scholarship, she became part of the Nebula team in 2015. As lead designer, Heather is responsible for making all software and games look stunning; from user interface, character creation and branding. She is also a website developer, with clients in a variety of industries.

Outside of the office, Heather is also the designer for Digipool. You will most likely find her at home behind a laptop or easel, surrounded by rabbits. The only time you will find her out of the house is to see her favourite DJs, however recently she has taken a keen interest in fitness.
